About the position

The Summer 2025 Warehouse Operations Intern at Dollar General will engage in a 10-week internship program designed to provide hands-on experience in warehouse operations. The intern will collaborate with management on special projects, focusing on streamlining daily operations, including the receipt, stocking, order filling, and shipment of merchandise. This role also involves supervising employees operating equipment and ensuring adherence to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Conduct start-up meetings to communicate daily volume and safety topics.
• Utilize Standard Operating Procedures to resolve and correct problems and communicate issues to management.
• Identify improvement areas using the Productivity Improvement Plan process.
• Review quality measurements and report status to management.
• Maintain positive employee relations and keep daily employee records.
• Support safety programs to reduce or eliminate employee injuries.
• Report weekly to management on project status and overall performance.

Requirements

• Undergraduate or graduate business student pursuing a major in Supply Chain Management.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Demonstrated employee relations skills and conflict resolution abilities.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Tools: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Solid analytical skills and self-motivated.
• Ability to communicate effectively at all organizational levels.
• Willingness to work in a team environment.
• Ability to handle multiple activities simultaneously and ensure timely task completion.
