About the position

The Rockefeller Foundation is seeking a Summer Associate for our Convenings & Networks team. We value our Summer Associates and want to invest in and mentor future leaders who will grow personally and professionally and create an impact in the philanthropic sector. As a Summer Associate at The Rockefeller Foundation, you will have the chance to contribute to our initiatives through engaging, meaningful work assignments. This position is open to graduate students only. A cover letter is required. The 2025 summer program will run for 11 weeks from June - August 2025. This position will be based in New York City with either a hybrid or fully remote schedule. Students engaged in fully remote work must be based in the United States. Pay Range: $30 - $35 hourly rate. This represents the present low and high end of the Foundation's pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary based on various factors, including but not limited to experience. This is a non-exempt position and thus eligible for overtime pay.

Responsibilities

  • Support the seamless execution of signature Rockefeller Foundation convenings, providing project management support, quality control, and capture and analysis of convening survey data.
  • Prepare the 2024 Bellagio Residency Look Book for publication, including gathering and prepping each resident's bio and picture for publication on the Bellagio website.
  • Support the delivery of our Bellagio Center storytelling vehicles including the 'Bellagio Breakthroughs' and 'Bellagio Bulletin,' as well as amplification of content on internal and external channels.
  • Support virtual events and engagement opportunities for the Bellagio Center Alumni network, including project management and participant communications.
  • Support a variety of data projects related to the Bellagio residency and convening programs, as well as other convenings supported by the Rockefeller Foundation.
  • Support the operation of Monday.com and Salesforce database tools through data entry, data cleanup, and data pulls.
  • Support the team in shaping and running a vendor selection process for partners critical to convening design and operations.
  • Identify organizations and key contacts for prospective residency and convening program recruitment.
  • Support on special projects as needed.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a graduate program in one of the following areas: business, technology, public policy, government, international development, or a related field.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Well-organized and proficient at balancing multiple projects with overlapping timelines.
  • Ability to engage and collaborate with global leaders with professionalism and poise.
  • Strong research and analytical capabilities; able to synthesize large volumes of research and data to guide strategy.
  • Collaborative, innovative, eager to learn, and interested in how foundations create and implement strategies working alongside partners.
  • Must be a proactive self-starter.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Internet search skills, and ability to learn new applications quickly.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous work experience in the nonprofit sector, consulting, research, technology, or business-related fields preferred.

Benefits
