About the position

The Summer Associate position within the Digital Payments division of Navy Federal focuses on enhancing money movement experiences for members. This role involves analyzing operational structures, industry benchmarks, and data to recommend improvements and support the implementation of new payment capabilities. The associate will work closely with various teams to ensure streamlined operations and effective support for future payment innovations.

Responsibilities

• Assess the Digital Payments Operations current organization structure against future core strategies and capabilities roadmap.
• Analyze current production data and industry best practices to identify opportunities for production optimization and fraud minimization.
• Understand business unit dependencies and how Digital Payments strategies affect operational design.
• Develop recommendations for team formations, shift patterns, and communication strategies aligned with strategic initiatives.
• Present findings from data analysis and research to management, including senior executives.
• Participate in the day-to-day strategy, analysis, and operations of the team.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in a related field.
• Experience with operational research, analysis, organizational design, and process improvement.
• Experience using data and analytic tools such as Excel, PowerBI, SQL, SPSS Modeler, R, or Tableau.
• Good communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and think outside of the box.
• Strong strategic, operational, and analytical thinking skills.
• Basic knowledge of financial services/payments is a plus.
