About the position

The Summer Associate position at Navy Federal is part of a 12-week internship program designed to provide students with hands-on experience in project management and documentation within the Fraud Operations group. This role will expose interns to various aspects of training material development, documentation of procedures, and project management for security initiatives. Interns will work closely with Documentation Specialists to maintain and enhance training manuals, ensuring that they are clear, comprehensive, and effective for end users. Interns will learn best practices for revising and enhancing training materials, focusing on usability, accessibility, clarity, and brevity. They will also develop skills in documenting complex processes and procedures, ensuring that these documents are easy to follow and replicate. Additionally, the role involves acquiring knowledge in coordinating security projects, including planning, executing, and monitoring project progress while collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate security risks. The internship program is set to begin in May 2025 and conclude in August 2025, providing students with the opportunity to work on impactful projects and gain meaningful work experience during their time at Navy Federal. To qualify, applicants must be pursuing a degree from an accredited college or university with an anticipated graduation date of December 2025 or later.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in adult education, communication, design work, or a related field.

  • Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Experience managing multiple priorities and changing requirements independently or in a team.
