About the position

The Summer Associate Internship in Learning Solutions Architecture at Navy Federal is a 12-week program designed for students pursuing degrees in relevant fields. The intern will work in a hybrid environment, supporting the Procurement and Vendor Management (PVM) team with communications and training projects. This role involves drafting communications, developing training materials, and collaborating with various stakeholders to enhance departmental operations.

Responsibilities

  • Support PVM with internal and external communications campaigns.
  • Assist with the development and management of PVM town halls, communications, script writing, and proofreading.
  • Proofread and edit content to ensure consistency in tone, accuracy, and clarity.
  • Review PVM communications for alignment with Navy Federal tone and branding.
  • Assist Communications Strategist in the development, design, and layout of newsletters, blog posts, and PowerPoint presentations.
  • Assist in the design and development of training resources such as job aids, technical guides, guided walkthroughs, videos, and other interactive deliverables as needed.
  • Assist the LSA in development, design, and evaluations of learning materials.
  • Review and research the effectiveness of training, communication, and change management activities.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Studying adult education/learning theory, communication, graphic design, and/or related field.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat).
  • Basic skills with word processing, presentation, and spreadsheet software.
  • Ability to research, analyze, and organize visual concepts and create conceptual approaches and solutions.
  • Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Effective English grammar, vocabulary, and writing skills.
  • Organizational, planning, and time management skills.
  • Experience in managing multiple priorities independently and/or in a team environment.
