About the position

The Summer Camp Program Lead is responsible for overseeing the staff and curriculum delivery for specific camp programs while providing direct instruction to campers. This role emphasizes leadership, teamwork, and the development of life skills in children, ensuring a fun and enriching summer experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and organize supplied curriculum and materials for daily camper activities.
• Communicate and mentor a team of 1 to 4 camp counselors and instructors.
• Provide direct facilitation to a group of campers.
• Ensure the delivery of engaging and educational programming for children and youth.

Requirements

• Strong commitment to educational programming for children and youth.
• Access to a reliable automobile for the entire duration of the summer camp season.
• Access to a reliable mobile phone device (i.e.: iPhone, Android, etc).
• Strong organization skills and attention to detail.
• Flexibility to meet changing work needs and demands.
• Ability to work collaboratively on a high-functioning team.
• Openness to feedback and desire to grow professionally.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and accurately.
• Ability to communicate clearly, maturely, and compassionately with students and families.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience working with students in a classroom setting (experience in a camp setting is a plus).
• 1+ years teaching and managing a group of students.
