About the position
The Summer Intern in Biostatistics at Harmony Biosciences offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a rare-disease focused biotech company. The intern will work closely with the Biostatistics team, which is responsible for ensuring data integrity and quality in clinical development projects. This role involves collaborating with the Clinical team and external partners, providing statistical expertise, and engaging in real-world projects that contribute to the company's mission of improving the lives of patients with neurological diseases.
Responsibilities
- Review project and study documents, including Statistical Analysis Plans (SAPs) and Table, Listing, and Figure (TLF) shells.
- Programmed TLFs and Electronic Case Report Forms (eCRFs).
- Review datasets using an open-source software language such as R, Python, or possibly Julia.
- Conduct programmatic simulations using R, Python, or possibly Julia.
- Create software programs to identify data outliers and/or potentially erroneous data.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Enrolled in an accredited college or university as a rising sophomore, junior, or senior.
- Preferred major in Statistics, Biostatistics, or a related field.
- Proficient in MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Teams.
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills including flexibility, collaboration, and inclusion.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
