About the position
AMC Networks is home to many of the greatest stories and characters in TV and film and the premier destination for passionate and engaged fan communities around the world. We create and curate celebrated series and films across distinct brands and make them available to audiences everywhere. Our portfolio includes targeted streaming services AMC+, Acorn TV, Shudder, Sundance Now, ALLBLK and HIDIVE; cable networks AMC, BBC AMERICA, IFC, Sundance TV and WE tv; and film distribution labels IFC Films and RLJE Films. The company also operates AMC Studios, our in-house studio, production, and distribution operation behind acclaimed and fan-favorite originals including The Walking Dead Universe and the Anne Rice Immortal Universe, and AMC Networks International, our international programming business. Our Human Resources team is seeking summer interns to join for a 10-week project-based program from June 2nd, 2025 - August 8th, 2025 (35 hours per week). Within this internship you could be placed on our Human Resources or Diversity, Equity & Inclusion team where you will work cross functionally to solve a business problem or help improve an internal process. You will be placed based upon your previous experience, interests and will be determined within the recruitment process. The program is open to students of all majors with an interest and passion to pursue a career in the Media and Entertainment industry. Over the course of 10 weeks, students will gain hands-on work experience, access to networking events and professional development workshops to ensure a well-rounded and meaningful internship experience.
Responsibilities
- Manage your assigned project and effectively complete the assignment within your 10 weeks and present your progress and results at the end of the internship
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to drive value and complete your project
- Create a project plan where you will outline your timelines, goals, and areas of focus
- Assist in onboarding activities for new hires including data processing, orientation, and first day activities
- Assist in maintaining up to date employee data and records within workday
- Review and analyze and assist in creation of company employee survey data as needed
- Conduct ad hoc research on market trends and provide insights to HR team
- Provide Administrative Support to Business Employee Resource Groups (BERG)
- Screen and audit AMCN DEI Content
- Assist with drafting and distributing DEI Communications
Requirements
- Currently be enrolled in an undergraduate program (graduation date later than August 2025)
- Have proven proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Teams)
- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Have strong, proven potential leadership skills
- Have excellent attention to detail
