As a Summer Intern in the Mechanical/Electrical Engineering department at our Steelcraft Manufacturing Plant in Blue Ash, OH, you will have the opportunity to engage in meaningful work that directly impacts our operations. This internship is designed to provide you with valuable experience in defining and scoping requirements for manufacturing processes, assisting in the management of both major and minor capital projects, and ensuring adherence to the Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) schedule. You will also learn the tactical aspects of troubleshooting equipment and evaluating production cells for waste opportunities. During your internship, you will perform time studies and compare results with playbooks and configurators, contributing to the overall efficiency and productivity of our operations. You will work within a multi-functional team to resolve real-world issues from both strategic and tactical perspectives, focusing on equipment availability and supporting all metrics of the assigned area. Your role will also involve reducing quality issues in the Doors Value Stream and improving delivery and productivity in the Frames Value Stream. Collaboration is key in this role, as you will liaise with operations, maintenance, and other departments to enhance employee engagement and explore new technologies that align with our current processes and products.
