About the position

As a GXO Intern, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, gaining hands-on experience in logistics and leadership over a 10-week program. This role is designed for current college juniors or seniors pursuing a degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Operations Management, providing a platform to learn about various facets of the business while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Learn the basic job functions and perform responsibilities relative to warehouse operations and meet weekly goals and objectives.
• Engage with various levels of operations leadership to strategically assist in continuous improvement by identifying problems and creating lean solutions.
• Collaborate with peers to achieve a defined and common business purpose.
• Exchange ideas, thoughts, opinions, knowledge, and data with others to ensure clarity and purpose in communication.
• Participate and/or lead projects with key partners and peer interns by creating and developing project plans, determining requirements, deliverables, resources, timing/milestones, and risks.

Requirements

• Current collegiate Junior or Senior in pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management or related field with anticipated graduation by June 2026.
• In academic good standing with a grade point average of at least 3.0.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to present information and data in an organized and audience-appropriate manner.
• High degree of integrity to maintain confidentiality.

Nice-to-haves

• Leadership and/or people management experience in collegiate programs and activities, or in previous/current employment.
• Strong interest in warehousing or Third-Party Logistics (3PL).
• Bilingual English/Spanish.
• Ability to take initiative to confront challenges, inspire others, and collaborate in a team environment.
• Interest in Operations Management as a career path post-graduation.
