Summer Intern - Raja Gaddipati Fellowship

About the position

DLA Piper's Summer Undergraduate Internship Program, known as the Raja Gaddipati Fellowship, is a six-week, full-time paid internship designed for undergraduate students and recent graduates. This program provides participants with valuable insights into the workings of a large law firm through research projects, lectures, and direct mentoring. The fellowship aims to foster diversity within the legal profession and is named in honor of a former partner who championed community involvement and support for law students. The internship will take place in various DLA Piper offices, including Chicago, New York, Palo Alto, and Washington, DC, from mid-June to late July.

Responsibilities

• Assist on legal assignments and research projects.
• Attend local industry events and client meetings with attorneys.
• Witness court hearings and engage with local government entities.
• Participate in lectures and mentoring sessions.
• Collaborate with lawyers, paralegals, and business professionals on various tasks.

Requirements

• Must be enrolled in an accredited college degree program entering their senior year in fall 2025 or be a recent graduate applying to law school within one year.
• Genuine interest in attending law school and plans to take the LSAT.
• Intend to apply to an accredited law school in 2025 or 2026.
• Demonstrate sound academic performance.

• Present exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
