About The Position

The Summer Intern role in the Alpha Operations team at State Street involves supporting investment management clients by ensuring accurate data processing and addressing inquiries from clients, custodians, and brokers. The intern will contribute to day-to-day operations in a dynamic environment, conduct high-level analysis, and collaborate with team members to streamline processes and enhance operational efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Management.
• Strong financial accounting knowledge and proficiency.
• Working knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with Bloomberg is a plus.
• Exposure to SQL or other coding languages is beneficial.
• Strong accuracy aptitude and detail orientation.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support inquiries from clients, custodians, and brokers to ensure timely and effective processing of requests.
• Prepare, complete, and review standard client reporting.
• Perform transaction processing tasks within the business unit as necessary to support processing routines.
• Consult with peers to optimize the operating model.
• Oversee and train cross-cultural team on daily processing.
