About the position

The Mechanical Engineering intern at bp will play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity of offshore pipelines, risers, and flowlines. This position involves engaging in the entire lifecycle of equipment, from design to maintenance, while adhering to bp's health, safety, security, and environmental principles. Interns will gain hands-on experience and may be considered for a full-time role in the One Engineering Program upon graduation.

Responsibilities

  • Be an integral part of the entire lifecycle of equipment from design to specification and layout.
  • Maintain and inspect rotating machinery and static equipment.
  • Interact with contractors and project staff to provide technical guidance for Major Projects.
  • Manage the integrity of offshore pipelines, risers, and flowlines.

Requirements

  • Cumulative and major GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Graduating between December 2025 and May 2026.
