About The Position

The Summer Member Services Associate position is a part-time role focused on delivering exceptional customer service at the Monon Community Center and Waterpark. The associate will manage guest facility entry, handle day pass sales, and assist with membership transactions and recreation program registrations, ensuring a positive experience for all visitors.

Requirements

• At least two years of previous cash handling experience preferred.
• At least two years of previous customer service experience preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• American Red Cross CPR/AED/First Aid Certification within 30 days of hire.
• Must be at least 16 years of age.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a community center environment.
• Ability to work in moderate to loud environments, including outdoor pools.

Responsibilities

• Enthusiastically greet guests and direct them to rooms, programs, and events.
• Manage cash, check, and credit card transactions accurately while adhering to cash handling policies.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees and the public.
• Answer phone calls, greet callers, and resolve inquiries or direct them to the appropriate person.
• Assist guests with day pass sales, membership transactions, and recreation program registrations according to department policies.
• Input and maintain accurate guest records within recreation software (ActiveNet).
• Respond to public inquiries, suggestions, and complaints, and resolve issues professionally.
• Conduct facility tours upon guest request.
• Complete projects assigned by the supervisor accurately and thoroughly.
• Enforce rules and regulations with program participants and facility users.
• Provide timely and accurate information to employees and the public.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment and ensure reliable attendance.
• Monitor guests in the facility and respond to emergencies with CPR and first aid as needed.
