About the position

The Summer Staff Videographer is responsible for capturing the essence of the Mount Hermon Association's camps through video. This role involves working closely with camp directors and the marketing team to produce engaging content that reflects the organization's mission and values. The videographer will film, edit, and produce videos for various camp activities and events, contributing to the overall promotion and storytelling of the camp experience.

Responsibilities

• Film, edit, and produce weekly videos for camps in collaboration with the Media Manager and Marketing Digital Media Manager.
• Tag and catalog all video footage taken.
• Work on promotional videos for the summer program.
• Maintain inventory of video camera and editing equipment; report any damage or issues immediately.
• Support other photographers and videographers with equipment, coverage, ideas, and troubleshooting.
• Attend all summer staff and department meetings and events.
• Engage and help build the summer staff community through positive interactions.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

Requirements

• High school graduate; college experience preferred.
• Experience in filming and editing a variety of subjects, particularly focusing on people and their activities.
• A portfolio demonstrating technical and creative videography skills is required.
• Experience with Adobe Premiere and Adobe Creative Cloud is preferred.
• Familiarity with social media platforms and creating engaging content is beneficial.
• Current valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required.

Nice-to-haves

• Formal videography training is preferred but not required.
• Experience with Macintosh platform and Canon cameras and lenses is helpful but not required.
• Experience working with professional-level photography equipment is preferred.
