About the position

The Account Manager for AWS Aerospace and Satellite team is responsible for driving the adoption of cloud services within the satellite and space industry. This role requires a blend of sales acumen and technical expertise to engage with customers at various levels, including CXOs and IT leaders. The Account Manager will develop and execute territory plans, meet revenue targets, and foster long-term relationships with key accounts while ensuring customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively manage the full sales cycle from initial inquiry to closure.
  • Meet or exceed revenue targets.
  • Develop and execute against a comprehensive account/territory plan.
  • Create and articulate compelling value propositions around AWS services.
  • Accelerate customer adoption of AWS services.
  • Maintain a robust sales pipeline.
  • Work with partners to extend reach and drive adoption.
  • Manage contract negotiations with clients.
  • Develop long-term strategic relationships with key accounts.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction throughout the sales process.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of direct sales or business development in software, cloud, or SaaS markets selling to C-level executives.
  • 10+ years of business development, partner development, sales, or alliances management experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • 5+ years of building profitable partner ecosystems experience.
  • Experience developing detailed go-to-market plans.
