About the position
The Assistant Superintendent at Williams Homes plays a crucial role in supporting the Superintendent in managing job sites related to home construction. This position emphasizes excellent customer service and involves scheduling and supervising subcontractors, conducting inspections, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. The Assistant Superintendent is integral to maintaining the cleanliness of subdivisions and preparing homes for homeowner walk-throughs, ensuring that all construction meets the company's high standards.
Responsibilities
- Assist the superintendent in scheduling subcontractors.
- Enforce quality standards through daily inspections of homes under construction.
- Review houses daily to ensure readiness for the next trades.
- Support company policies and construction standards.
- Monitor subdivision cleanliness and hold subcontractors responsible for daily clean-up.
- Walk each completed home before the homeowner walk-through to ensure it meets quality standards.
- Ensure homes are complete without outstanding items before closing sign-off.
- Conduct inspections and walk-throughs with inspectors.
- Inspect each house to determine status per the production schedule.
- Prep all units for final inspections and homeowner walk-throughs.
Requirements
- High school diploma required; AA/BS degree preferred.
- 5-year minimum related experience in home construction.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the new home construction process.
- Ability to read, understand, and interpret construction documents, drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
- Knowledge of all phases of new home construction.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and Adobe.
