About the position

Structure Tone is seeking a Superintendent to support our New Jersey tenant improvement projects. This role is crucial for ensuring the timely and cost-effective field coordination, quality control, and day-to-day supervision of subcontracted workforces involved in construction projects. The Superintendent will be responsible for preparing project schedules and maintaining accurate reports that describe the project status. This position requires regular reviews of project progress with the Project Manager and client representatives, especially on large projects that may involve multiple Superintendents. Safety is a top priority, and the Superintendent must ensure that safety standards and requirements are implemented and adhered to by all craftsmen and personnel operating tools and equipment. The role also involves directing subcontractor activities within ground-up construction projects, analyzing manpower, material, and equipment requirements, and coordinating these needs with other designated supervisors. The Superintendent will implement and enforce policies, procedures, and work rules established by field construction management, preparing necessary reports and forecasts to keep supervisors informed about the progress of assigned activities. Additionally, the Superintendent will coordinate Lock-out Tag-out procedures with responsible subcontractors for utilities such as Nitrogen, Vacuum, Compressed Air, RODI, and Steam. A strong understanding of quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) processes, as well as client engineering specifications or requirements, is essential for success in this role.
