About the position

The Superintendent - Mechanical Construction is responsible for overseeing field operations and providing technical support for construction projects. This role ensures the safe, timely, and profitable completion of projects while managing various aspects of construction, including cost control, scheduling, and compliance with safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee field operations for mechanical construction projects.
• Provide technical support to ensure project completion is safe and profitable.
• Manage project schedules and cost control measures.
• Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.

Requirements

• High school diploma or technical school diploma or equivalent experience.
• At least five years of experience in a leadership role in building construction.
• Thorough knowledge of pump and machine repair and basic electrical knowledge.
• Understanding of construction cost control and basic accounting procedures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and scheduling software (Primavera, Microsoft Project).
• Strong management, leadership, and interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with craft agreements and negotiations.
• Knowledge of engineering and construction means and methods.
