Structure Tone is looking for a Superintendent to support our Philadelphia-based projects. The Superintendent is responsible for the timely and cost-effective field coordination, quality control, and day-to-day supervision of subcontracted workforces for construction projects. This role requires a proactive approach to managing various aspects of construction, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget while maintaining high standards of quality and safety. The Superintendent will prepare the project schedule and maintain reports that accurately describe the project status. Regular reviews of project progress with the Project Manager and client representatives are essential, especially for large projects that may involve multiple Superintendents. Safety is a top priority, and the Superintendent must ensure that safety standards and requirements are implemented and adhered to by all craftsmen and personnel operating tools and equipment. In addition to overseeing subcontractor activities within ground-up construction projects, the Superintendent will analyze manpower, material, and equipment requirements, interfacing these needs with others as designated by the supervising superintendent. The role also involves implementing and enforcing policies, procedures, and related work rules established by field construction management. The Superintendent will prepare necessary reports and forecasts, keeping supervisors informed on the progress of overall assigned activities. Coordination of Lock-out Tag-out with responsible subcontractors for utilities such as Nitrogen, Vacuum, Compressed Air, RODI, and Steam is also a critical responsibility. Furthermore, managing QA/QC and understanding client engineering specifications or requirements are essential components of this position.
