About the position

The Superintendent at Sevan Multi-Site Solutions is responsible for managing field operations for military housing exterior construction renovations. This role involves overseeing contractors and vendors, ensuring safety, quality, and adherence to project schedules. The Superintendent plays a key role in promoting a safety culture and maintaining effective communication with project management and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises all jobsite activities including safety, schedule, cost, and quality.
  • Directly manages and monitors project work in the field.
  • Promotes Sevan safety culture by maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
  • Ensures Sevan's safety requirements are met and rectifies job site hazards immediately.
  • Understands Critical Path Management (CPM) scheduling and maintains a CPM schedule.
  • Ensures trade partner staffing levels are consistent to maintain project schedule.
  • Completes quality inspections of trade partners and field personnel.
  • Maintains an active deficiency report on open quality items.
  • Plans, organizes, and hosts weekly foremen meetings.
  • Proactively communicates project-related issues with Project Manager, Project Executive, or Operations Director.
  • Examines construction documentation for completeness and accuracy.
  • Reviews bid results, specifications, test and progress reports, and other project information.
  • Confirms and verifies permitting requirements related to the project.
  • Coordinates with local municipalities for inspections.
  • Collaborates with Project Manager on change orders and incorporates work into project schedule.
  • Prepares and provides daily and weekly status reports utilizing Procore software.
  • Identifies and solves or elevates project issues related to cost, schedule, safety, or quality.
  • Represents the company in project meetings alongside the Sevan Project Manager.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with clients, subcontractors, and vendors.

Requirements

  • 4-year degree in an accredited construction-related program or equivalent; or 5+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated skills in on-site residential construction management.
  • Experience in 'at risk' projects preferred.
  • State/local General Contractors license and OSHA 30 preferred.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret construction documents.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Procore project management software, MS Project scheduling software, MS Excel, and Smartsheet.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing, with all levels of the project team.
