The Supervisor Accounts Receivable/Collections Team Leader is responsible for overseeing the activities of the collections team, ensuring effective management of financial transactions related to accounts receivable. This role involves supervising a team of 6-10 full-time employees, focusing on recruitment, training, and performance appraisals to foster individual and team development. The Supervisor acts as a subject matter expert in the collection and accounts receivable processes, managing a portfolio of customers and leading the team in achieving collection goals. In this position, the Supervisor will communicate and explain work procedures to subordinates, support the Collections Manager with IT projects, and drive standardization and process improvements within the collections and accounts receivable functions. The role requires managing collection activities, negotiating with past-due accounts, and making decisions within the authority specified in the credit policy. Additionally, the Supervisor will support the doubtful debt calculation process and ensure that the accounts receivable ledger is clear and actively managed. The Supervisor will also oversee day-to-day activities of the collection team, monitor performance, and assist with period close activities in cooperation with accounting teams. This role includes maintaining key process documentation and assisting with both regular and ad hoc reporting and data analyses. The Supervisor Accounts Receivable/Collections Team Leader will report directly to the Collections Manager NAM and play a crucial role in enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of the collections process.
