About the position

The Supervisor, Accounts Receivable is responsible for overseeing the collection and follow-up of the hospital's accounts receivable under the general supervision of the Patient Accounts Manager. This role involves developing training materials for accounts receivable operations and ensuring adequate cash flow for the hospital. The supervisor will also analyze and audit denials, accounts receivable, write-offs, and staff performance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the successful follow-up and collection of the hospital's accounts receivable.
• Develop training materials for accounts receivable operations.
• Maintain adequate cash flow to the hospital.
• Trend, track, analyze, and audit denials, accounts receivable, write-offs, and staff performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Minimum of four years of recent experience in a healthcare claims environment, preferably in a hospital setting.
• At least two years of supervisory experience required.
• Extensive knowledge of medical terminology, HCPCS/CPT coding, UB92, and third-party payer regulations required.
• Proficient in Excel applications.
