The Supervisor of Aircraft Maintenance is responsible for leading a team of hourly mechanics in the completion of aircraft modification projects. This role requires a strong focus on monitoring budgets, organizing daily tasks to meet project milestones, and understanding the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) to drive overall performance on aircraft modification projects. The supervisor will establish and track daily production requirements, ensuring that all aspects of budget, safety, quality, and performance are met. The team will typically consist of between eight to twelve hourly mechanics, and the supervisor will play a crucial role in guiding and supporting them throughout the project lifecycle. In this position, the supervisor will be expected to interpret various regulations, including Government, FAA, and Company Aviation Safety regulations. A solid understanding of mechanical drawings and electrical schematics is essential, as is a general knowledge of aviation. The supervisor will also be responsible for performing analytical analysis and applying risk mitigation techniques to ensure the safety and efficiency of operations. Additionally, the role requires strong conflict resolution, team building, and coaching skills to foster a productive work environment. The position is scheduled for a 12-hour shift, specifically on the third shift from Friday through Sunday. Candidates must possess a valid Secret Clearance and be willing to work overtime as needed. This role is critical in ensuring that aircraft maintenance projects are completed on time and within budget, while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.
