About the position

Responsibilities

  • Work alongside United Airlines personnel in the Station Operation Center for the Denver, CO (DEN) hub.
  • Support the SkyWest Airlines operation in DEN by communicating with SkyWest headquarters and local teams to ensure customers receive reliable information and service.
  • Advocate for SkyWest Airlines' best interests for a safe and reliable operation in DEN.
  • Identify hurdles to safety and operational performance involving gate assignments, aircraft towing, crew movement, and other ground operations.
  • Establish and maintain direct relationships with appropriate personnel and advocate for SkyWest's operational performance accordingly.
  • Perform other tasks as required for the SkyWest operation in DEN and as assigned by the Regional Manager - Airport Operations (UAX).

Requirements

  • Previous airline ground operational experience.
  • Proficient in basic computer programs.
  • Ability to multi-task on a computer with multiple programs and systems operating at once.
  • Effective communication with a variety of internal and external work groups.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in time-critical and stressful situations.
  • Willingness to remain humble while learning and continue learning beyond the training period.
  • Attention to detail to ensure work is done properly and effectively.
  • Initiative to adjust daily job duties based on operational requirements.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with UA network systems and operational tools.
  • Experience working at an airline hub.
  • Understanding of an airline hub operation control center.
  • Previous airline operational leadership experience.
  • Working knowledge of DEN airfield and ground operations.
  • Strong knowledge of airline performance metrics and nomenclature.
  • Basic understanding of crew scheduling, rest, and related regulations.
