About the position

The position at Envoy Air involves directing and coordinating department activities to ensure a safe and effective operation within the airline. Responsibilities

  • Direct and coordinate department activities to ensure a safe and effective operation.
  • Communicate with managers, peers, and team members to administer company policies and procedures.
  • Provide necessary tools, resources, and training to the team to meet operational performance goals.
  • Review and analyze reports and confer with supervisors to plan department activities.
  • Assign or delegate responsibilities for specified work or functional activities.
  • Resolve operational problems during peak or irregular periods.
  • Generate and implement quality improvement ideas.
  • Meet profitability and cost control goals; develop and monitor budget and spending.
  • Coordinate activities of the ramp service team with other departments for efficiency.
  • Evaluate and implement improved procedures for ramp service objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with all operations and safety requirements during the tour of duty.
  • Investigate discrepancies and compile statistical data for compliance purposes.
  • Coach and counsel personnel on ramp service and performance issues.
  • Encourage employee teamwork to generate and implement best ideas.
  • Coordinate scheduling, hiring, and training activities.
  • Evaluate team performance through corporate quality control measurements.

Requirements

  • Minimum age: 18
  • College degree or equivalent work experience
  • Valid, unexpired and unsuspended driver's license
  • Previous experience in a team lead, supervisory or managerial capacity
  • Previous work experience in an airport operations environment
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and PC skills
  • Ability to work rotating shifts, nights, and weekends
  • Willingness to work non-standard schedules due to operational needs
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities
  • Legal right to work in the United States
  • Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English
  • Previous ramp operational experience preferred
  • Experience managing various workgroups preferred
