About the position

The Supervisor Case Manager at Providencia Group plays a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations of case management and unification specialists. This position is essential for ensuring that work is completed on schedule, within budget, and meets specified quality standards. The Supervisor will work closely with various stakeholders, including the Project Director, Regional Coordinator, and Clinical Services, to facilitate effective communication and collaboration. The role requires a strong focus on crisis intervention, conflict resolution, and the ability to handle complex situations with compassion and decisiveness. In this position, the Supervisor will review case summaries submitted by case managers to ensure compliance with policies and procedures, promoting a safe and efficient reunification process. Regular updates to the company’s case management tracking system, CaseWorthy, and the government’s UC Portal are also part of the responsibilities. The Supervisor will hold daily sessions with the team to monitor caseload progress, discuss policy changes, and provide support. A positive work environment is emphasized, with a focus on building morale and ensuring that staff feel valued and appreciated. The Supervisor will also be responsible for conducting orientation and on-the-job training for new staff members, monitoring case statuses, and elevating issues to senior management as necessary. This role requires a high level of interaction with team members to address any questions or roadblocks they may encounter. The Supervisor will assist in the development of policies and procedures that enhance service delivery and will be expected to work independently in the field while maintaining confidentiality. Responsibilities

  • Provide oversight and execution of daily operations to ensure work is completed on schedule, within budget, and to specified quality standards.
  • Review all case summaries submitted by Case Managers/Unification Specialists to ensure alignment with policy and procedures for safe reunification.
  • Regularly review and update the company case management tracking system (CaseWorthy) and government case management tracking system (UC Portal).
  • Promote productivity and ensure staff meet their performance standards and metrics/goals.
  • Hold daily sessions with the Case Manager/Unification Specialist team to check on caseload progress and discuss policy changes.
  • Promote a positive environment with an emphasis on building high morale and collaboration among staff.
  • Ensure Case Manager/Unification Specialist staff follow proper procedures and ORR policy at all times.
  • Report any issues with assigned staff to the Senior Lead Unification Specialist.
  • Frequently interact with each assigned staff member to provide assistance and address roadblocks.
  • Provide recommendations for updates to SOPs and training to Senior Lead and Project Director.
  • Assist with the development and refinement of policy interpretation, guidelines, and procedures to improve service delivery.
  • Conduct orientation and on-the-job training for new staff members.
  • Monitor status of cases and elevate issues to Senior Lead and Project Director.
  • Assist in vetting sponsors nationwide.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, sociology, or other relevant behavioral science.
  • Two or more years of supervisory experience.
  • Experience with ORR, preferably in case management work.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English.
  • Available to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
  • Must be able to travel for extended periods of time (up to 100%).
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Certified Mental Health Provider preferred.
  • Strong computer skills in MS Office, including Excel, Word, and MS Teams.
  • Ability to type 45 wpm.
