About the position

The Central Design Supervisor is responsible for leading the delivery of electric designs, projects, and cost estimates to ensure the safe and reliable operation of the Electric Distribution system. This hybrid position requires working from a remote office within PG&E's territory and in San Jose based on business needs, typically 1-2 days per week.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises staff to accomplish results through effective recruitment and selection, training and development, performance management and rewards and recognition.
  • Develops a safety culture that is accountable for decisions and provides messaging regarding safety.
  • Manages daily work activities; reviews and approves staff work products. Leads staff's performance towards department objectives.
  • Executes employee engagement plan.
  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with internal and/or external stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or job-related discipline or equivalent experience.
  • 2 years of utility industry experience, or other job-related experience.
  • 3 years of job-related experience.
  • Valid California Driver's License.

Nice-to-haves

  • Leadership experience, job-related, 2 years.
  • PMI-Project Management Institute PMP-Project Management Professional certification.
  • Construction Management certification.
