As the Supervisor of Civil, Structural, Stress, and Piping (CSSP) Engineering services for Enbridge's Liquids Pipelines systems in Canada and the United States, you will play a pivotal role in leading a team of subject matter experts. This position is designed for an experienced engineering professional who is not only capable of supervising but also coordinating and directing decision-making across various engineering domains. The role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities, including overseeing civil engineering tasks such as containment, drainage, earthwork, and road construction, as well as structural engineering involving concrete and steel design, construction, and maintenance of structures, including tanks. Additionally, you will be responsible for pipe thermal and mechanical stress design and evaluation during various phases such as transportation, installation, line-fill, operation, and modification. Your leadership will extend to the design, construction, and testing of piping systems, including bolting and pressure testing practices for pipelines and facilities. You will also conduct engineering assessments for crossing agreements, plan reviews, surface loading analysis, and code reviews, ensuring compliance with pipeline codes, fire codes, and environmental regulations. As a supervisor, you will provide both technical and non-technical mentoring and training for your direct reports, stakeholders, and leadership, which includes conducting performance management and coaching staff in their career development. Furthermore, you will support capital, operational, and workforce planning by preparing budgets, justifications, schedules, and reporting. This role is crucial in fostering a collaborative environment that encourages innovative engineering solutions and effective communication across all levels of the organization.
