The Supervisor of Clerical Services for Region 2 at PG&E is responsible for overseeing groups that provide essential administrative and project support within the organization. The position is hybrid, allowing for work from a remote office as well as the assigned work location based on business needs. In this role, the supervisor will manage the day-to-day operations and staff management of support teams, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives. The supervisor will create and promote a safety-first work environment and culture, which is essential for maintaining high standards of operational safety and efficiency. The position requires the ability to organize multiple assignments, often of a complex nature, to produce accurate and timely work products. The supervisor will lead team efforts to meet deadlines and implement effective solutions to challenges that arise. Additionally, the supervisor will be responsible for staffing, training coordination for new and relief staff, and tracking apprentice programs and classification-specific training. Building strong working relationships with internal and external customers and business partners is crucial, as is the ability to prepare and distribute monthly and quarterly department reports while ensuring the security of confidential documents. The supervisor will also monitor department budgets and expenses, ensuring that performance metrics and indicators are communicated effectively. This role includes supervising a team of primarily nonexempt administrative and clerical employees, driving performance through effective recruitment, training, performance management, and recognition.
