About the position

The Supervisor - Commissions at Verizon plays a critical role in ensuring that sales colleagues are compensated accurately for their performance. This position involves managing the commissions compensation process, implementing changes based on new compensation plans, and leading a team of Analysts and Senior Analysts. The role requires a focus on compliance with contractual agreements and sales compensation plans, as well as streamlining processes through technology to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure sales colleagues are compensated accurately for their performance.
  • Analyze and process commission payments and statements within established timeframes.
  • Implement procedures and controls for commission processes.
  • Lead a team of Analysts and Senior Analysts to deliver commissions services.
  • Manage the commissions compensation process and implement changes based on new compensation plans or contracts.
  • Identify improvement opportunities and contribute to the design of new processes or procedures.
  • Collaborate with Finance Operations and Commissions team, outsourcing partners, and sales stakeholders.
  • Research, analyze, and validate compensation payments and discrepancies.
  • Complete processing steps for commission adjustments and corrections by deadlines.
  • Maintain communication with customers and sales management regarding compensation disputes.
  • Participate in User Acceptance Testing for new or modified systems.
  • Analyze reports for managers or agents and provide recommendations.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.

Requirements

  • Four or more years of relevant experience in Finance, Accounting, or Finance Ops.
  • Experience in Compensation Billing and Order Entry systems.
  • Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
  • Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) (preferred).
  • Experience in the technology or telecommunications industry (preferred).
  • Experience with Google Suite, Knime, and Tableau (preferred).
  • Experience managing a team (preferred).
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
  • Broad range of skills within the finance discipline.
  • Experience with SQL/Cognos (preferred).
