About the position

The Communications Measurement & Insights (CM&I) Manager at McDonald's is a pivotal role within the Global Communications team, focusing on data-driven decision-making to enhance the company's reputation and communication strategies. This position involves developing and implementing a center of excellence (COE) infrastructure, leveraging various research methodologies to provide insights that guide strategic planning and reputation management. The role requires a blend of analytical skills, entrepreneurial spirit, and a passion for making a significant impact within one of the world's most recognized brands.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with CM&I's Reputation Manager on the reputational health quantitative tracking study.
  • Oversee primary research project workflows and lead day-to-day efforts including internal audience survey recruitment.
  • Help develop core research deliverables that analyze McDonald's reputation and provide insights for planning & strategy development.
  • Support CM&I's Issues/Trends Manager in monitoring and assessing external issues impacting reputation.
  • Lead analyses on stakeholder audience interests regarding social issues to guide planning.
  • Supervise the media monitoring infrastructure and ensure efficient execution by agency teams.
  • Support execution of CM&I's roadmap for scaling monitoring, measurement, and insights infrastructure across international markets.
  • Manage vendors to develop and implement measurement and insights road map.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with Global Impacts markets and Centers of Excellence.

Requirements

  • Experience in an analytical based role, preferably in the communications field.
  • Strong familiarity with CM&I proactive, issues/trends, reputation, and performance workstreams.
  • Substantial knowledge of traditional and social media metrics and tools.
  • Ability to inform communications and reputation-building strategies through data.
  • Comfortability with primary research.

  • Experience working in analytics, insights, and the communications/public relations industry.
