About the position

The Supervisor, Document Control at NextDecade Corporation will oversee the document control operations for the Rio Grande LNG facility. This role involves developing document control standards, supervising a team of Document Control Technicians, and ensuring compliance with ISO-9001 standards. The position requires initial work in Houston before transitioning to Brownsville, Texas, and involves collaboration with various departments to maintain effective document management processes.

Responsibilities

  • Help develop Next Decade Operations document control standards and supervise the document control team.
  • Interface with intercompany department personnel to provide timely information and document support.
  • Establish and ensure compliance of the Electronic Document Management System (EDMS) with ISO-9001 standards.
  • Ensure all documents added or edited within the EDMS are complete and include all necessary attributes and metadata.
  • Maintain consistent application of document control processes, procedures, and systems.
  • Interface with the Management of Change (MOC) Coordinator to manage document changes effectively.
  • Develop and maintain an effective document routing and distribution system.
  • Maintain Key Process Indicators (KPIs) regarding Document Control Team performance.
  • Participate in routine Quality Assurance audits of document control procedures and EDMS system.
  • Maintain the Operations team Lessons Learned Database.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent GED.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Document Control Supervisor.
  • 10+ years of experience with document control.
  • 5+ years of oil and gas industry experience.
  • Ability to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credentials (TWIC).
  • Experience with various Electronic Data Management Systems (EDMS) such as Hexagon SDX, OpenText, PIMS.
  • Experience managing electronic and physical document transmittal and distribution systems.
  • Experience with ISO 9001 compliance and certifications.
  • Excellent organization, planning, and time management skills.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to lead and motivate technical staff.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • ISO 9001 Foundations or Auditor Certification.
  • Detailed knowledge of multiple EDMS.
  • Knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS).
  • Database management abilities for Lessons Learned Database.
