About the position

The Supervisor EMS Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating, teaching, and evaluating educational, clinical, and patient care activities for pre-hospital emergency medical services personnel. This role involves establishing partnerships with community and regional agencies to develop education and outreach activities, ensuring compliance with transport protocols, and collaborating with medical directors for timely follow-ups and educational opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Plans and coordinates educational activities for pre-hospital emergency medical services personnel.
  • Teaches and evaluates clinical and patient care activities.
  • Establishes partnerships with community and regional agencies for education and outreach.
  • Collaborates with hospital service lines to ensure compliance with transport protocols and quality metrics.
  • Coordinates onsite and virtual training for pre-hospital caregivers.
  • Maintains relationships with all EMS agencies serving Good Samaritan Hospital.
  • Works with the marketing team to ensure consistent community marketing and education.
  • Analyzes and prepares data on EMS volumes and trends.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with an unencumbered license or graduate of an accredited EMT/Paramedic school with NREMT-P certification and Colorado EMT-P certification.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills, both orally and in writing.
  • Computer literacy and data analysis skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Emergency management experience in a healthcare environment.
  • State of Colorado Lead Instructor endorsement with greater than 5 years of service.
