About The Position

The Fabrication Supervisor at Advanced Drainage Systems (ADS) is responsible for overseeing a team of Plastic Fabricators in the production of HDPE dual wall pipe fittings. This role emphasizes safety, productivity, quality control, and cost management within the Fabrication Department. The supervisor will engage in training, performance evaluations, and direct involvement in production to meet operational demands. The position requires flexibility in working hours, including weekends, and aims to foster a positive work environment while ensuring high-quality output.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Leadership and motivational skills.
• Basic drawing and orthographic projection interpretation.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Formal Lean operations training.
• Complete ADS Fab product/process knowledge.

Nice To Haves

• Achieved Master Fabrication Level 3-5 years of ADS fabrication experience.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for training, productivity, and motivation of the Plastic Fabricators team.
• Responsible for safety, productivity, quality, and cost control in the Fab Department.
• Conduct administrative tasks including production reporting and material procurement.
• Promote Fab Shop programs and policies.
• Lead safety standards and seek improvements.
• Hold regular production meetings with the team.
• Lead involvement in Fab/Plant improvement programs and Lean initiatives.
• Ensure high product quality while seeking improvements.
• Maintain production and efficiency standards.
• Communicate regularly with Sales, Service, and Engineering teams.
• Lead equipment maintenance and improvement efforts.
• Participate in training opportunities for the Fabrication team.
• Troubleshoot product quality issues and implement improvements.
