About the position

The Supervisor of Field Operations at Spectrum is responsible for overseeing the fulfillment operations from the node to the home within the assigned area. This role focuses on supervising installation and service to ensure customer satisfaction, technical quality standards, employee productivity, and adherence to safety requirements. The supervisor will also be involved in hiring, training, and evaluating team performance to maximize operational excellence and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise installation and service to meet customer expectations and technical quality standards.
  • Maximize customer satisfaction through quality craftsmanship and operational excellence.
  • Ensure responsiveness and first-time resolution to installation and trouble call work orders.
  • Complete quality control checks and resolve escalated customer problems as necessary.
  • Provide quality assurance support and direction to field staff regarding new or existing technologies.
  • Perform field safety observations and quality control checks in accordance with company TQA requirements.
  • Establish positive employee relations through effective communication and support.
  • Mentor employees regarding safety, quality, productivity, and well-being.
  • Coordinate and reinforce employee training to meet Technical Quality Assurance (TQA) standards.
  • Perform practical field evaluations to verify technical competencies and safe practices.
  • Ensure staff has and maintains necessary company-issued tools and equipment.
  • Facilitate cross-functional communications and cooperation with internal departments and service partners.
  • Maintain records and documents in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
  • Advanced understanding of the TCP/IP stack and associated abstraction layers.
  • Advanced knowledge of network designs, architectures, and topologies.
  • Basic knowledge using software tools to support current operations.
  • Knowledge in basic network devices and appliances.
  • Ability to safely use weight-bearing equipment within maximum weight limitations.
  • Ability to use personal computer and software applications including Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to operate appropriate computer or test equipment associated with position.

Nice-to-haves

  • Demonstrated leadership qualities.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks effectively.
  • Moderate knowledge of residential and commercial facility construction design/layout.
