About the position

The HR Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing the day-to-day activities of HR Generalists, ensuring compliance with various HR policies and metrics. This position is designed for a working supervisor who collaborates closely with community and divisional associates across the states for which they are responsible. The HR Supervisor is tasked with providing training and development opportunities for the HR Generalists team and Business Office Managers/Coordinators, focusing on compliance with I-9, E-Verify, background checks, and HR policies and procedures. Additionally, this role supports management in identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance operational efficiency. In this supervisory capacity, the HR Supervisor is responsible for managing HR Generalist staff, which includes interviewing, hiring, and training new associates. The supervisor will plan, assign, and direct work, as well as appraise, reward, and discipline team members. Addressing complaints and resolving concerns is also a key responsibility, ensuring that HR Generalist team members develop the necessary skills and performance attributes aligned with their development needs. The HR Supervisor partners with management to maintain and optimize resources and tools for the HR Generalist team, community leaders, and business office teams. They provide HR Generalist support to a regional area of communities, collaborating with District Directors of Operations, HR Business Partners, Executive Directors, and Business Office Managers/Coordinators. The role involves identifying and establishing department metrics and goals, measuring and monitoring the performance of the HR Generalist team, and producing reports for management. Furthermore, the HR Supervisor monitors and supports HR Generalists in utilizing the ServiceNow platform and the Community First Help Line for HR-related matters. They also advise managers and associates on pre/post-employment policies and procedures, assist in organizing and implementing pre/post-employment programs, and monitor and approve HR Generalist hours for payroll. The HR Supervisor is responsible for various tasks assigned by department management, including invoice processing, background check adjudications, and reviewing subpoenas. They escalate situations to management when additional guidance or support is required. Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Proven experience in HR management or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and compliance regulations.
  • Experience in training and developing staff.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Proficient in using HR software and platforms, such as ServiceNow.
