About the position

The Supervisor II, Data Architecture & Service Optimization at Ocean Network Express is responsible for leading a team of analysts across multiple service centers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality data solutions that support strategic business initiatives and enhance customer experience. This role involves performance management, operational oversight, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to drive data-driven improvements and optimize processes.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily activities of Data Analysts across multiple service centers (Chicago, Boise, Richmond).
  • Conduct first-level performance evaluations, providing feedback and development plans.
  • Mentor and coach team members to enhance technical skills, ensure accountability, and foster professional growth.
  • Ensure analysts meet deadlines for data reporting, analysis, and dashboard development.
  • Monitor and enhance data integrity, accuracy, and reporting processes.
  • Provide guidance on best practices for data visualization tools such as Looker, Google Data Studio, and ONE Force.
  • Act as a liaison between Data Analysts and the Sr. Manager, escalating issues as needed.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align on data-related projects.
  • Translate business requirements into actionable data insights for teams.
  • Assist in the implementation of new data tools and initiatives.
  • Support the Sr. Manager in executing strategic initiatives, including KPI benchmarking and process optimization.
  • Lead smaller-scale projects and initiatives within the team, ensuring alignment with larger organizational goals.
  • Encourage a culture of continuous improvement by identifying inefficiencies and suggesting solutions.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in data analytics or related fields, with at least 2+ years in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Data Science, or a related field required.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in data visualization and analysis tools such as Looker, Google Data Studio, or equivalent.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present complex information clearly.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Big Query, and programming languages such as SQL, Python, or JavaScript is a plus.

  • Knowledge of cargo management processes, customer segmentation, and operations optimization.
