About the position
The Process Technician Supervisor position is a full-time role in the plastics industry, specifically focused on injection molding. This role involves overseeing the setup and operation of Cincinnati Milacron presses, ensuring productivity and efficiency while maintaining high-quality standards. The supervisor will be responsible for monitoring press utilization, reducing scrap levels, and improving cycle times, all while fostering a clean and safe work environment.
Responsibilities
- Supervise the setup and operation of Cincinnati Milacron injection molding presses.
- Monitor press utilization and productivity to ensure efficiency.
- Work to reduce scrap levels and ensure effective use of raw materials, including regrind.
- Implement cycle time improvement programs.
- Maintain a clean and safe shop environment.
- Collaborate with maintenance to ensure equipment is in good repair.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
- Solid troubleshooting skills and mechanical mindset with a good understanding of plastic molding.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with CAM programming (Virtual Gibbs) is a plus.
- Familiarity with plastics injection molding processes.
