About the position

The Maintenance Supervisor at Vytalogy Wellness, LLC is responsible for overseeing the maintenance operations of the facilities, ensuring that all equipment and systems are functioning efficiently and safely. This role involves managing a team, coordinating with third-party vendors, and implementing preventive maintenance programs to maintain a safe and compliant work environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and supervises the operations and activities of the Facilities Maintenance department.
• Manages department employees and is responsible for performance management and hiring.
• Trains and provides work direction and guidance to others as directed.
• Coordinates and oversees repair and maintenance performed by third-party vendors and contractors.
• Manages a preventive maintenance program for buildings and equipment.
• Maintains inventory control; orders, receives, and stores new equipment and supplies.
• Performs minor repairs to buildings and equipment.
• Repairs and troubleshoots machines as needed.
• Provides direct leadership and training to implement, maintain, and improve equipment functionality.
• Initiates, coordinates, and enforces systems, policies, and procedures.
• Completes machine maintenance operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees.
• Maintains or oversees the maintenance of departmental records and prepares various reports.
• Responds to repair requests in a timely manner and completes damage reports.
• Performs periodic facility inspections to monitor work performed and identify areas needing repair.
• Coaches, counsels, and disciplines employees as necessary.
• Learns and applies emerging technologies to perform duties efficiently.
• Manages waste and recycling disposal programs.
• Maintains a safe work environment and follows safety policies and procedures.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of supervisor experience.
• 2+ years of manufacturing/operations maintenance experience (preferred).
• Current HVAC Refrigerant usage Certification or Current Boiler & Steam Operator Certification (preferred).
• Experience in food/pharmaceutical/nutraceutical processing operations (preferred).
• Knowledge of basic HVAC, electrical, plumbing, boilers, hazardous material and safety management.
• Ability to operate a variety of equipment, machines, and vehicles.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in a building maintenance and/or construction environment (preferred).
• Knowledge of the methods, equipment and materials used in facilities maintenance repair work.
• Ability to analyze situations accurately and adopt an effective course of action.
