About the position
The Supervisor, Material & Production Planning at LATICRETE International is responsible for managing daily production scheduling activities across multiple manufacturing plants. This role ensures maximum customer satisfaction and on-time delivery of products by utilizing ERP systems for effective production planning and inventory management. The position involves overseeing a team of Scheduling & Materials Management Specialists and requires a strong focus on process analysis and efficiency improvements.
Responsibilities
- Plan daily, weekly, and monthly production operations schedules and forecasts integrating customer requirements, material availability, and resource capacity.
- Generate and place purchase orders with suppliers for raw materials and packaging.
- Analyze customer demand and production capacity to determine efficient inventory levels for finished goods and WIP.
- Participate in New Product Development Projects and collaborate with various departments to implement changes.
- Delegate and allocate work to team members, setting clear performance expectations and priorities.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in production planning and control.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with JD Edwards or equivalent shop floor control systems.
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) or other relevant certification is desirable.
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills with Microsoft Office and strong ERP software knowledge.
