About the position
The Supervisor of the Nursing Department is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of assigned teams within the Operating Room of Surgery. This role involves monitoring workflow, identifying challenges, and providing real-time solutions. The supervisor contributes to the development of policies and procedures, ensuring high-quality care for a diverse patient population, including pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and the elderly.
Responsibilities
- Supervises and provides guidance in day-to-day operations of assigned teams.
- Monitors workflow to identify challenges and provide real-time solutions and adjustments.
- Contributes to the development of policies, procedures, and work instructions by identifying needs and submitting evidence-based recommendations.
Requirements
- Current unencumbered Oregon RN license required.
- BSN preferred.
- Healthcare Provider BLS certification required.
- Two (2) years of experience in a hospital required.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in Pediatrics is preferred.
