About the position

The position involves supervising and coordinating the activities of hospital personnel while engaging in various procedures through the interpretation of hospital policies and procedures. The role includes participating in the investigation and preparation of reports aimed at improving patient care, safety, educational development, and personnel performance. The associate may be assigned to multiple locations as needed within Mount St. Mary's Hospital.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate hospital personnel activities.
  • Engage in various procedures through interpretation of hospital policies.
  • Participate in investigations and prepare reports for patient care improvement.
  • Ensure safety and educational development of staff personnel.
  • Monitor personnel performance and provide feedback.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current New York State Professional Nurse registration.
  • BLS certification required.
  • ACLS certification required.
  • Two (2) years of acute care nursing experience.
  • Ability to develop rapport with multiple health care disciplines.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and networking skills.
  • Ability to work in a high stress environment.
  • Computer literate.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
  • Charge Nurse, Managerial, or Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Sociality Certification preferred.
  • ICS Certification required 100/200/700/800 within 6 months of hire.
