The Supervisor of Curriculum & Instruction at Spectrum360 is responsible for leading the development, implementation, and coordination of educational programs, including Individual Behavioral Plans and the Spectrum360 Academic Curriculum. This role involves collaboration with administration and staff to enhance the instructional plan, oversee curriculum integration, and ensure compliance with educational standards.

  • Develop and coordinate the total school curriculum in collaboration with administration and staff.
  • Evaluate and recommend new instructional materials and methods to the Principal and Executive Director.
  • Supervise the implementation of students' IEPs and instructional strategies.
  • Chair Annual Review and IEP-related meetings, ensuring proper documentation and follow-up.
  • Review and approve progress report cards and provide feedback to teachers.
  • Conduct in-service training for staff on curriculum development and teaching strategies.
  • Maintain a curriculum reference library and provide access to instructional materials.
  • Coordinate the selection of textbooks and instructional materials with staff committees.
  • Stay updated on current research in curriculum development and share insights with staff.
  • Recommend professional development opportunities for teachers.
  • Conduct classroom observations and evaluate teaching staff as needed.
  • Assist in budget development related to curriculum and instruction.
  • Support the recruitment and training of instructional personnel.
  • Oversee statewide testing programs and other evaluative measures.
  • Participate in student intake meetings and assess student appropriateness for programs.
  • Implement child management procedures and oversee behavior management training for staff.
  • Handle discipline issues in the absence of the Principal.
  • Conduct orientation meetings for new and existing staff.
  • Participate in various administrative and program meetings, including case reviews.
  • Valid New Jersey Supervisor of Instruction, Teacher of the Handicapped, School Administrator or Principal certificate.
  • Minimum of three years of successful teaching experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership in school improvement and program development.
  • Experience in curriculum integration and instructional planning.
  • Experience with special education programs.
  • Familiarity with behavioral management plans.
  • Knowledge of current educational research and trends.
