About the position

The Supervisor of Online Instructional Design at the University of Pittsburgh plays a crucial role in supporting the strategic growth and management of online learning initiatives within the College of General Studies. Responsibilities

  • Assist with the planning, coordination, and assessment of online learning initiatives and projects.
  • Collaborate with administrators, academic departments, and faculty to design and deliver online courses and programs.
  • Oversee the operations of the instructional design team and instructional technology support services.
  • Consult with subject matter experts to identify training objectives and content.
  • Draft storyboards, write content, and research emerging instructional technologies and resources.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in instructional design or related area.
  • Expertise in online pedagogy and instructional design frameworks.
  • Familiarity with educational technology tools and quality assessment in higher education.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary range of $58,979 to $78,638 annually.
  • Full-time regular position with a standard work schedule of Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
