About the position

The Peer Support & Community Health Worker Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and supporting Peer Support Specialists and Community Health Workers. This role involves regular meetings with staff, arranging training, providing support, and facilitating communication in a structured environment. The Supervisor will also deliver clinical services and ensure the professional growth of team members.

Responsibilities

  • Meet with assigned staff regularly, both individually and in group settings.
  • Arrange appropriate training for Peer Support Specialists and Community Health Workers.
  • Provide support and utilize problem-solving techniques.
  • Assist in troubleshooting issues and negotiating complexities of peer mentor roles.
  • Establish open lines of communication for team members in a safe and supportive environment.
  • Deliver a minimum of 25% of clinical services monthly.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in the human services field or a high school diploma/GED with certification as a peer support specialist or community health worker.
  • Minimum of two years' experience in a human services setting.
  • Leadership experience or progressive responsibility preferred.
  • Valid Michigan Chauffeur's Driver's License required.
