About the position

The Supervisor of Personal Assistance Services plays a crucial role in overseeing attendant services and ensuring that appropriate staffing and productivity levels are maintained. This position requires coordination of care with an interdisciplinary team, patients or clients, their families, and referring agencies. The supervisor is responsible for directing staff in accordance with agency policies and procedures, ensuring that quality patient and client services are delivered consistently. In this role, the supervisor promotes the agency's philosophy, mission, and administrative policies, which are essential for maintaining high standards of care. They supervise and provide direction to subordinates, ensuring that services are not only of high quality but also continuous. The supervisor demonstrates a commitment to professional growth and competency, which is vital in a healthcare setting. They are also responsible for promoting compliance with policies and procedures through education, coaching, and other necessary assistance. Monitoring systems to identify problems is a key responsibility, as is directing and coordinating agency attendant services. The supervisor assumes responsibility for the continuity, quality, and safety of the services delivered. They participate in activities relevant to the services provided, including the development and assignment of agency personnel, and ensure that reassessments are performed as appropriate.

Responsibilities

  • Promotes the philosophy, mission, and administrative policies of the agency to ensure quality of patient/client services.
  • Supervises and provides direction to subordinates to ensure quality and continuity of services.
  • Demonstrates commitment, professional growth, and competency.
  • Promotes compliance of policies and procedures through education, coaching, and assistance as necessary.
  • Monitors systems and identifies problems.
  • Directs and coordinates agency attendant services and assumes responsibility for continuity, quality, and safety of services delivered.
  • Participates in activities relevant to services furnished including development and assignments of agency personnel.
  • Assures that reassessment is performed as appropriate.

Requirements

  • Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting, eager to improve and continuously learn new skills.
  • Ability to perform all essential job functions with or without accommodations.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation every single day.
  • Validated ability to act in a compassionate and supportive manner.
  • Prior experience in a healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care environment (minimum of 1 year).
  • Willingness to enforce health and safety standards.
  • Supportive and compassionate attitude.
  • Take pride in providing high quality care.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Bilingual.
