About The Position

The Operations Supervisor at CommScope in Catawba, NC, is responsible for overseeing the evening shift operations, ensuring safety, quality, and timely delivery in manufacturing processes. This role involves leading a team, implementing safety programs, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and productivity. The supervisor will also be involved in recruiting, training, and motivating employees while maintaining compliance with safety regulations and ISO standards.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent with 5 years of manufacturing or production experience.
• 3 years of experience in leading teams of twenty or more people.
• Excellent digital literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Suite and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to inspire change, manage multiple projects, and balance business requirements with available resources.

Nice To Haves

• Associate or bachelor's Degree.
• Experience with SAP, Kronos, and Business Objects.
• Working knowledge of Continuous Improvement tools such as Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Root Cause Analysis; green belt certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision and support to assigned areas to coordinate workforce for safety, quality, production, and timely delivery.
• Ensure safety by implementing the CommScope safety program and promoting good housekeeping practices.
• Motivate employees to adhere to safety policies and local and federal regulations (OSHA and EPA).
• Create and review daily production reports for accuracy and completeness.
• Embrace lean methodologies and implement continuous improvement projects to reduce waste and increase efficiency.
• Recruit, interview, select, train, appraise, and counsel employees to create an accountable environment.
• Ensure that products meet or exceed CommScope specifications and maintain ISO 9001 certification.
• Collaborate with other supervisors and management to optimize production performance.
