About the position

The Residential Connectivity Sales Supervisor at Spectrum is responsible for leading a geographically-assigned sales team focused on providing high-quality products and services to residential customers. This role involves motivating and supporting the team to achieve sales goals while enhancing the customer experience. The supervisor will engage in both fieldwork and office tasks, ensuring effective operations and team development.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the daily operations of a geographically assigned sales team.
  • Support efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
  • Meet and exceed budgeted headcount and sales goals.
  • Create excitement and energy within the team and develop skills in others.
  • Recruit, interview, hire, and train Residential Connectivity Sales staff.
  • Set clear expectations and hold employees accountable.
  • Lead, guide, and develop Residential Connectivity Sales Specialists.
  • Identify knowledge and training gaps and develop plans to address them.
  • Familiarize with reporting and analytics to support business decisions.
  • Collaborate with other departments to achieve goals and objectives.
  • Conduct approximately 60% fieldwork and 40% office work.
  • Coach to and follow Charter's Sales Process.
  • Communicate territory assignments to team members.
  • Monitor payroll processes and ensure timely approval of commission payments.
  • Handle employee relation issues, including performance appraisals and coaching.
  • Complete administrative tasks related to sales activities.
  • Maintain knowledge of product offerings and marketplace conditions.
  • Prepare reports as needed.

Requirements

  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Strong technical and computer skills.
  • Ability to travel to assigned territories using a reliable personal vehicle.
  • Ability to work outside for extended periods in any season.
  • Familiarity with various consumer and commercial communications devices and software applications.
  • Must be able to work non-traditional hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
  • Ability to complete documentation accurately.
  • Bachelor's degree in business or marketing or equivalent work experience.
  • 2+ years of Outside Sales or related work experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of Direct Sales practices.
  • Experience with consumer education of products and services.
  • Knowledge of cable or telecommunications services.
  • Sales Supervisory experience preferred (0.5+ years).
