About the position
The Supervisor (Part-time) at Kellogg West Conference Center & Hotel is responsible for leading a team to efficiently perform hotel front desk functions under the supervision of the Manager or Assistant Manager. This role involves ensuring compliance with established standards, effective supervision and training of staff, and maintaining high-quality service for customers. The position requires flexibility to work evenings and weekends, and it emphasizes strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team to perform hotel front desk functions efficiently.
- Ensure staffing levels are appropriate and prepared for service.
- Ensure compliance with established laws and regulations.
- Supervise, train, and coach crew members effectively.
- Maintain organization and sanitation of assigned areas.
- Resolve equipment, maintenance, and facility issues promptly.
- Interact with customers and vendors to resolve issues and complaints.
- Communicate work schedules and ensure staff report on time and in uniform.
- Submit various reports accurately and timely.
- Order and receive invoices and manage inventory.
Requirements
- Minimum of three years relevant supervisory experience.
- Valid CA driver's license and insurance.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to interpret and apply policies and procedures.
- Resourceful and able to take initiative.
- Ability to work cooperatively in a multi-ethnic environment.
- Flexibility to adjust to changing schedules and technology.
- Strong writing skills.
